Role summary.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and proactive accountant to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and professional consulting firm as a management accountant and consultant. We are currently growing at a rapid rate and require new team members to resource our pipeline of new clients.

Working in a team of professionals (including CA & CPA qualified accountants) with a diverse client base, the ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and highly motivated to succeed. This role has been created due to company growth and increased client service requirements.

The key tasks and responsibilities for the role include:

  • Profit and Loss preparation

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation

  • Balance Sheet preparation

  • Perform necessary month end procedures

  • Documentation of key accounting processes

  • Dashboard / Monthly Board Report compilation including commentary and explanation

  • Preparing and presenting the company strategic plan

  • Presenting monthly management accounts

  • Presenting monthly cash flow statements

  • Conducting business analysis

  • Reporting and presenting on business analysis findings

  • Managing and supervising junior staff

  • Reviewing work of junior staff and providing coaching

  • Managing and recommending relevant Insurance

  • Preparing year end business summary and report card

  • Analyse information in order to identify problems and probable causes

  • Develops and recommends cost effective solutions to client portfolio

    Competencies and experience required:

  • B. Com (Accounting),

  • MYOB Advanced User (including payroll)

  • Xero Advanced User (including payroll)

  • Excel Intermediate to Advanced User

  • Other reporting software’s advantageous

  • BAS and IAS preparation and lodgement experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (essential)

  • Excellent organisation and task management skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills

  • Excellent Presentation

  • Accurate documentation skills

  • Conscientious and hard-working, with the ability to work towards deadlines
